Dancing Dragon, a Live Nation artist management company, announced today that rising hip hop star Bridge has inked a partnership with EMPIRE. The San Francisco-based independent distributor will distribute Bridge's music to the world for the very first time and oversee the release and promotion of Bridge's highly anticipated new music and forthcoming album.
Managed by Dancing Dragon, Bridge is undoubtedly one of the most unique performers from China. Known as the leader of Chongqing rap/ hip hop music label GO$H, the rising star first wowed audiences with his breakthrough track "Boss". In 2017, his impressive performance made him No. 9 on the influential competition TV show "The Rap of China". Active in the local hip-hop music scene, Bridge also participated in other major rap competitions and garnered the title of the "Champion of Chongqing", as well as named as one of the "Top 4 Rappers" in China. His popular hits include "Laoda"(老大), "Mayi"(螞蟻), "Yibai"(壹佰), "Young Bridge", "Wu Du Li" (霧都歷), "Shi Wan Dajun" (十萬大軍), and "Qiao Jiao Laoban" (翹腳老闆). Also a fashion lover himself, Bridge is a trend setter and has more than 2.2 million social followers.
On May 12, Bridge was leading other rappers from GO$H to take the stage at Rolling Loud Festival in Miami. The label made the history by becoming the first-ever Chinese label to participate in the world's largest hip hop music festival. The international line up also included Migos, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, Gucci Mane, and Tyga. In addition, Bridge is also joining one of the major dance music festival series, Creamfields UK with YÅKO on August 24.
"I'm so excited to begin a new chapter in my career with EMPIRE as my global distribution partner," said Bridge. "With the support from Dancing Dragon and EMPIRE, I feel like I am in the best position in my life to create new music and I can't wait to show my fans what I'm making next."
Jim Wong, Managing Director of Dancing Dragon, said, "Bridge and his crew GO$H represent the real authentic Chinese hip hop and their stories from Chongqing are going to continue to inspire many new generations of Chinese kids to pursue hip hop and music. I'm very excited to have EMPIRE supporting the vision and I'm looking forward to contributing to a new generation of music in China. "
