No. 1 on the latest Billboard Japan Hot 100 dated Oct. 1 to 7, after after selling197,462 copies in its first week. The song comes in at No. 1 for physical sales, look-ups, and Twitter mentions this week, while also performing well in radio airplay (No. 6). The septet’s previous single “LOVE” also topped three metrics of the Japan Hot 100, but “Kimi, Boku.” outperformed it by a wide margin, selling over 20,000 more CDs and also accumulating far more radio airplay points.

DA PUMP’s viral hit “U.S.A.” drops a notch to No. 3, but continues to lead video views (17 weeks) and streaming (15 weeks). The view count for the music video dropped below the 8 million mark for the first time in 10 weeks (from around 8.8 million to 7.6 million views), but there’s still a difference of 3 million views between this and Kenshi Yonezu’s “Lemon,” the song at No. 2 for video views (4.9 million). It remains to be seen whether “U.S.A.” will continue to slow down in this metric, but it looks like the gap between the two songs won’t be closing anytime soon.

Meanwhile, “Lemon” leads downloads again for the first time in 12 weeks, clearly boosted by the news of Yonezu’s new “double-A” single dropping Oct. 31 and demonstrating the artists current popularity. The former Japan Hot 100 No. 1 song has become one of this year’s longest-charting singles, staying in the top 10 for 34 consecutive weeks, 32 of them in the top 5.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups and audio streams from Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOK, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, Recochoku provided by Gfk Japan, as well as streaming counts based on lyrics displayed on PetitLyrics.
