Live Nation is delighted to present the first local performance of renowned Japanese actor and singer Dean Fujioka in his 1st Asia Tour 2019 “Born To Make History”, to be held on 20 April 2019 (Saturday) at Music Zone @ E-Max, KITEC, marking the singer’s first Hong Kong concert since his debut in the city in 2004.


Dean Fujioka made his debut in Hong Kong and has developed his career as an actor in Taiwan. He went on to become one of Japan’s favourite actors following his widely acclaimed role in “Here Comes Asa (Asa ga Kita)”. Besides acting, Dean Fujioka is also a successful music artist and has completed his first Japan national tour in 2018. In 2019, Dean will bring his music outside of Japan for the first time with Dean Fujioka 1st Asia Tour 2019 “Born To Make History”, adding Hong Kong and Taiwan to the tour dates. This will mark Dean Fujioka’s return to the early stages of his career, where he plans to make history with Hong Kong and Taiwan fans who have supported him all along.


Dean has expressed high anticipation to his coming Asia Tour, “This tour will be of a larger scale where I will travel to cities that I have never been to before. Besides, I will bring the tour to Hong Kong and Taiwan – the cities that has tremendous significance to me. Therefore, allow me to name this as an Asia Tour! To all fans of Dean Fujioka, no matter where you are from or when did you start supporting me, I would like to travel to you and show my gratitude to you because everyone of you are making history with me. I feel so excited about this journey! Together to the next level!!”

About Dean Fujioka

Dean Fujioka was born in Fukushima, Japan. After completing colleage in the US, he travelled to Hong Kong and was discovered by a talent scout to become a model. He made his acting debut in the Hong Kong movie “August Story” and was quickly spotted by Taiwanese TV producer Angie Chai Chi-ping who invited him to play various role in her popular TV series including “Goku Dou High School”, “Corner with Love”, “Miss No Good” and “Just You”. After spending many years in Hong Kong and Taiwan, Dean can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. 


In 2013, Dean returned to Japan and joined Amuse. In 2015, he won wide acclaim with his appearance as a Japanese historical figure in the morning drama series “Here Comes Asa” and brought about a fever called “Godai-sama Boom”, the role subsequently earned him Best Supporting Actor in the 9th Tokyo Drama Awards. Dean made impressive appearances in dramas “Please Love The Useless Me” and “May I Blackmail You?”. He recently played the leading role in “The Count of Monte-Cristo: Great Revenge” and won the Best Actor Award in the CONFiDENCE Award Drama Prize.


Dean Fujioka is named “The most perfect male of 30 to 40 years old in Japan” as he also has a successful music career. He released songs that he composed, wrote and produced in his first album “Cycle” in 2016, and has released 4 singles and 2 albums to-date. His recent singles include “History Maker”, theme song of the anime “Yuri!!! on Ice” and “Echo”, theme song of “The Count of Monte-Cristo: Great Revenge”. In 2018, Dean went on his first Japan national tour “History In The Making 2018”, playing 8 shows across 6 cities, amassing over 20,000 audiences to his shows.
