Ferry Corsten wastes no time in spreading his message of UNITY, drafting in long-time Flashover Recordings family member DIM3NSION for the next chapter of UNITY releases, as he continues to unite the trance community towards a bigger cause. Ferry has long been a supporter of DIM3NSION’s work, once describing him as the “next big thing in trance”, and his track ‘Dopamina’ on Flashover still stands as one of his most successful records and the only track outside of Ferry’s own work to be played at a Gouryella show.
After DIM3NSION’s remix of ‘Waiting’ was released on the Blueprint remix album recently, the timing was right for both artists to get together for their first collaboration. The result of the pair up is ‘Safe With Me’, a melancholic vocal anthem that stays true to the pairs trance roots whilst combining deeper elements and progressive influences, demonstrating the diversity of the trance world and strengthening the ethos of UNITY as a platform for multiple facets of trance music to join forces.
Ferry continues to work with VH1’s Save The Music Foundation to add support to the organization’s Music Tech Grant programme, which to date has donated $53 million worth of new musical instruments and equipment to over 2,000 public schools in 257 school districts across the USA, impacting millions of public school students. Founded in 1997, VH1 Save The Music was the first organization in existence dedicated to restoring music programs.
Ferry Corsten on the team-up with DIM3NSION “I was sent the topline demo whilst writing Blueprint, and although it didn’t fit with the story of that album, I loved the song. I passed it along to DIM3NSION to give his input and after some back and forth added some further production myself. The result was a track that felt like a perfect fit to release as part of the UNITY project”
‘Safe With Me’ will be released 4th May via Flashover Recordings.
